LE STUDIUM Fellowship campaign

LE STUDIUM® Loire Valley Insitute for Advanced Studies finances several programmes to welcome foreign researchers in the “Region Centre” for a one-year residency. Meanwhile, in order to get the full benefit of these recruitments, LE STUDIUM® leads a scientific animation that allows cross-disciplinary exchanges and the creation of lasting relationships with international research teams.

The call for applications, open from November to February each year, enables LE STUDIUM® independent Scientific Council to select ambitious research projects.

One of our programmes is open to foreign researchers who would like to propose a research project and come in the region Centre of France to lead this research project in a high level host laboratory.

A new call has been launched in November and will close on the 16^th February. You, or someone from your network, might be interested by this programme called “LE STUDIUM® RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP External Application”.

For selected researchers, LE STUDIUM® pays for research fellow’s salary, scientific animation and accommodation. We also deal with all logistics and administrative aspects (visa, residence permit, registration to social agencies, medical coverage, school for children, diverse activities…) to welcome the researcher and his family in exceptional good conditions.

I invite you to consider the opportunities offered by LE STUDIUM® to build or strengthen relationships with a research team and an international research community. The different programs may as well be linked to the diversity of what we can offer. For example after a fellowship in the region, you can have access to the other programs proposed such as LE STUDIUM® RESEARCH CONSORTIUM is a particularly suitable programme to strengthen international collaborations.

• The « guidelines » which allow to understand objectives, eligibility and selection criteria of this call for applications as well as to understand the selection process for projects which will be supported through an independent Scientific Council;
• The online application platform to submit your application. In order to help you, a document named “Indicative application format” allows to write a project in a Word document and copy/paste it on the online application platform.

To be eligible for a fellowship, you must identify a research team in region Centre that will host you for your one-year residency. If necessary, we will help you to establish a link with a laboratory in your scientific field in the region.
