The Center of International Projects announces the 2013-2014 Bilateral Calls for Proposals supported by the Supreme Council for Science and Technology Development of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) and Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany (BMBF), within the context of the Memorandum of Intent signed on 14 March for the following research areas:
- Communication: Building the information society through intelligent products, data services, internet-based knowledge infrastructure, resource-conserving production processes and virtual realities (includes the former themes information and communication technologies)
- Health and nutrition: Better health and qualitative aging through improved diets, individualized medicine, suitable surveillance and control systems, and societal innovations (includes the former themes biomedicine, pharmaceutics and human health)
- Climate and energy: Toward sustainable bioeconomies through sound balancing of the nexus water-energy-food and generating innovative alternatives for more efficient energy generating systems and other climate protection measures (includes the former themes agriculture, biotechnologies and food security, and also environment and energy efficiency)
- Key technologies: Solutions for societal challenges through key technologies for cross-cutting products, processes and services and innovative technology transfer (includes the former themes nanotechnologies, industrial engineering and new materials)
