The Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion launched an online public consultation on health and safety at work (H§S) on 31 May. It will run until 26 August. The main purpose of this consultation is to gather insights and contributions from the public further to results of the evaluation of the European Strategy on Safety and Health at Work 2007-2012. This should help identify current and future challenges in the occupational safety and health area, and identify solutions to address these challenges.
The objective is to involve as many stakeholders as possible and make think link with other portfolios: research, public health (diseases), agri (working conditions/accidents), enterprise (SME dimension and REACH), vulnerable group (migrants, women and disabled), education (integration of H§S in the curricula), H§S in transport, energy, and fisheries sectors; collection of statistical data.
